Membership Questions
If I am a Reserve Officer, Am I eligible for Legal Aid?
No. The legal aid that is offered through the Fraternal Order of Police is only offered to active members. Unfortunately the Fraternal Order of Police only accepts full-time law enforcement officers as new Active Members. The Hendersonville Lodge would be proud to accept an application for an Associate or Auxillary Membership so that you can join your fellow law enforcement officers..
I am a citizen with no relation to the police department, can I still become an Associate Member?
Yes. The Associate Membership is set up for public spirited citizens who are interested in the welfare of police officers, in the advancement of the Hendersonville Lodge, and who have such qualifications as the Hendersonville Lodge may use to further the projects and growth of the Lodge.
What are the requirements to be an Auxiliary Member?
The Auxiliary Lodge is set aside for family of Law Enforcement Officers, Police Department Employees other than Active Members, and individuals with close personal ties to police officers who are voted for acceptance.
When will I be responsible for the payment of Dues for my membership?
Membership dues will be due at the beginning of your membership. A renewal letter will be sent to you at the expiration of your one year membership and you will be responsible for paying the dues stated in the letter to renew your membership.
Can I use to the FOP Logo to support my business?
The FOP Logo's use is restricted by the Fraternal Order of Police and can not be used without their written consent. All our Associate Members may announce that they are supporters of their local FOP Lodge with the consent of the Hendersonville Lodge. Please contact us for more information.
